The authors describe a male infant with a history of transient pancytopenia who developed progressive bilateral proptosis associated with diffuse infiltration of the kidney and normal bone marrow. Between October 1988 and October 1991, 104 patients with multiple myeloma and 6 with plasma cell leukaemia were studied cytogenetically. Abnormal karyotypes were found in bone marrow cells of 33 patients (30%). Most pathological karyotypes were complex with numerous modal and structural anomalies. Numerical anomalies most frequently involved chromosome 11 and structural aberrations occurred most often in chromosomes 1, 11 and 14. In this report we present the autopsy findings of acute megakaryoblastic leukemia with tumor formation in a 2-year-old female infant with Down's syndrome. Chromosomal analysis of blast cells revealed constitutional anomaly of trisomy 21 and two other related types of abnormal clones. CD200, a marker currently utilized in the diagnosis of B-cell lymphoma, is uniformly positive in chronic lymphocytic leukemia/chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and is usually absent in mantle cell lymphoma. Over a 6 year-period, of 668 mantle cell lymphoma assessed by flow cytometry, CD200 expression was detected in 25 patients (~4%). Two blinded, controlled trials were done to evaluate the usefulness of fungal antigen detection for the diagnosis of invasive aspergillosis. Detection of Aspergillus fumigatus carbohydrate by radioimmunoassay was compared with antibody detection by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and with diagnostic microbiologic and histopathologic procedures. Cardiac hematological malignancies (CHMs) are rare entities and comprise lymphoma, leukemic infiltration, and extramedullary manifestation of multiple myeloma. The aim of this work is to summarize typical growth patterns, imaging features, and outcome parameters of CHM. CLINICAL CASE: A 39-year-old man with Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (LAL Ph+) developed progressive vision loss to no light perception in his right eye. He had optic disk edema and later developed central artery and vein occlusions. Pan-photocoagulation, as well as radiotherapy of the whole brain were performed in several fractions. Unfortunately the patient died of hematological relapse 4 months later.

Primary cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCLs) are a heterogeneous group of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas characterized by skin infiltration of neoplastic T lymphocytes.
