To suppress Thyroid pathologic activity in diffuse toxic goitre the authors have for the first time resorted to roentgenoendovascular functional thyroiedctomy. This method consists in vascular isolation of the thyroid by superselective catheterization of the left and right thyroid arteries followed by their material occlusion. We report a fourteen member family presenting with an anomaly of the seventh cervical vertebra. The symptoms associate pain and paresthesias, a C8-D1 syndrome or arterial manifestations. The radiologic lesions noticed are bilateral in twelve cases, either cervical ribs or apophysomegaly of the seventh vertebra's transverse process. There is no correlation between the severity of the clinical impairment and the importance of the radiologic image. We insist on the familial character rarely reported in the literature of an anomaly noticed in radiologic practice.

High rates of early failure and non-maturation remain major challenges in wrist radio-cephalic arteriovenous fistula (RC-AVF) creation for hemodialysis access. Therefore, it is of interest to assess the role of preoperative color Doppler ultrasonography (CDUS) in predicting successful fistula maturation in 80 patients. Radial artery diameter ≥2.0 mm and cephalic vein diameter ≥2.5 mm were significantly associated with maturation (p < 0.05), with CDUS showing 87% sensitivity and 75% specificity. CASE: A 50-year-old man presented with chronic refractory symptoms of radiating leg pain with muscle cramps because of a retained bullet in the calf after being shot in 1990. Radiographs confirmed the bullet lodged in posterolateral aspect of calf abutting proximal fibula.
