OBJECTIVES: We assessed whether administering cannabidiol (CBD) before recalling the traumatic event that triggered their disorder attenuates anxiety in patients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Tic disorders are a common psychiatric diagnosis in adolescents. While often a primary disorder, there have been few reports of trauma-associated secondary psychogenic tics. In this case, we detail a 16-year-old girl with a history of trauma who initially presented with depression and trauma-related anxiety. A 46-year-old man presented with urethral trauma following the unusual sexual practice of urethral sounding. He was able to urinate freely and was treated conservatively. He did not require any follow-up. Urethral sounding is uncommon sexual practice, where commonly a metal object is inserted per urethra for gratification.
