In this study, a nanostructure material of pillared graphene made of tin porphyrin functionalized graphene-TiO2 composite (TG) was successfully synthesized. The prepared compound showed high activity in the photodegradation reaction under irradiation of visible light. To investigate the effect of graphene as well as dye sensitization on the photoactivity of the catalysts, photocatalytic properties and photocurrent responses of the photocatalyst were examined. Sn19.3Cu4.7As22I8, a new clathrate-I compound with a cationic host framework containing transition metals, has been synthesized, and its crystal structure has been determined. It crystallizes in the cubic space group Pmn with a unit cell parameter a = 11.1736(3) angstroms and Z = 1 (R = 0.031 for 329 independent reflections and 22 variables). Tin, copper, and arsenic form the cationic clathrate framework hosting the guest iodine anions in cages of two different shapes. The effect of various organic metal compounds on delta-aminolevulinic acid dehydratase (ALAD, porphobilinogen synthetase) activity has been studied. Various organic tin and lead compounds have little effect on this enzyme. However, triethyl lead chloride has a potency similar to that of inorganic lead nitrate in inhibiting ALAD both for in vitro study and after in vivo dosing. Liver and blood ALAD have a similar sensitivity to lead compounds, which is reduced in the presence of zinc. Trimethyl lead chloride inhibits ALAD in vitro to a lesser extent. The reaction of [CH(2)(PPh(2)=NSiMe(3))(PPh(2)=S)] (1) with two equivalents of [Sn{N(SiMe(3))(2)}(2)] in refluxing toluene afforded novel tin(II) bis(phosphinoyl)methanediide complex 3. Our study reports the ultrasound-assisted synthesis of SnS and SnS2 in the form of nanoparticles using aqueous solutions of respective tin chloride and thioacetamide varying sonication time. The gas-phase acidity of ethyl-, vinyl-, ethynyl-, and phenyl-substituted silanes, germanes, and stannanes has been measured by means of FT-ICR techniques. The effect of unsaturation on the intrinsic acidity of these compounds and the corresponding hydrocarbons was analyzed through the use of G2 ab initio and DFT calculations. In this way, it was possible to get a general picture of the acidity trends within group 14. We have studied the photophysical properties of a tin(IV) phthalocyanine which coordinates two myristate groups through their carboxylate functionalities in a cis disposition at the tin center. The reaction of α-(carbonylamino)allylic stannanes and alkyl halides using Et3B as a radical initiator selectively afforded (E)-enamides. A radical mechanism enables the E selectivity, which is unusual in a reaction using α-aminoallylic metals. In addition, this reaction system achieved a wide degree of functional group tolerance and an efficient chiral transfer reaction.

We report a facile chemical vapor deposition (CVD) growth of vertical heterostructures of layered metal dichalcogenides (MX2) enabled by van der Waals epitaxy. INTRODUCTION: Developments in the Stille cross-coupling of [1-11C]acetyl chloride with tributylphenylstannane mediated by the Pd2(dba)3/P(MeNCH2CH2)3N·HClsystem are reported.
METHODS: The reaction conditions for the cross-coupling of [1-11C]acetyl chloride with tributylphenylstannane were optimized, and the reaction scope was investigated.
RESULTS: The cross-couplings of [1-11C]acetyl chloride with a range of aryl and heteroaryl stannanes were performed with good to excellent radiochemical conversions using the developed method.

A standard GC-MS instrument with electron impact ionisation has been used to develop a fast, simple and reliable method for the simultaneous determination of monobutyltin (MBT), dibutyltin (DBT) and tributyltin (TBT) in water samples. A kinetically stabilized 2-stannanaphthalene, the first example of a stable, neutral aromatic compound containing a tin atom, has been synthesized and fully characterized. The results of spectroscopic and crystallographic structural analyses of the compound and theoretical calculations using model compounds strongly suggest that it has a delocalized 10pi-electron ring system as does naphthalene. In addition, it was found to behave as an eta6-arene ligand in the ligand exchange reaction with [Cr(CH3CN)3(CO)3] giving the first stable eta6-2-stannanaphthalene chromium complex.
