Heterogeneous crystallization kinetics critically govern the morphology and performance of solution-processed semiconductors, yet morphology control is often achieved through trial-and-error optimization. Quantitative understanding of crystallization is essential for precise morphology control but is limited by the simultaneous occurrence of heterogeneous nucleation and crystal growth. Here, a time-defined induced nucleation strategy has been developed to initiate crystallization at specific stages of solution processing. Systematic variation of nucleation timing reveals three distinct morphol

Ageing and interventions modulate health and mortality1, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms of this modulation remain unclear. Here we integrate more than 11,000 transcriptomes from more than 25 tissues across 4 mammals (mouse, rat, macaque and human) to develop accurate, interpretable rodent and multi-species biomarkers of chronological age and expected mortality, predicting lifespan-modulating interventions, time to death, chronic diseases and rejuvenation. Ageing-related changes were conserved across species and cell types, revealing universal transcriptomic signatures of mammalian age

We analyze the effects of various forms of noise on one-dimensional systems of noninteracting fermions. In the strong noise limit, we demonstrate, under mild assumptions, that the statistics of the fermionic correlation matrix in the thermodynamic limit follow a universal form described by the recently introduced quantum simple symmetric exclusion process (QSSEP). For charge transport, we show that QSSEP, along with all models in its universality class, shares the same large deviation function for the transferred charge as the classical SSEP model. The method we introduce to derive this result
