A follow-up series of 324 lower leg fractures treated between 1980 and 1985 in a regional hospital showed overall good results. Vecuronium (Org NC 45) was used in 27 parturients undergoing elective cesarean section under general anesthesia. One of the parturients had a twin pregnancy. Neuromuscular transmission was assessed clinically by stimulating the ulnar nerve and observing the contraction of the fingers. The activity of the rat hindlimb during treadmill stepping was studied in normal adult rats and in rats in which cerebellar development was interfered with by early-postnatal focal X-irradiation. This study was conducted on 30 healthy soldiers to observe EEG changes during acclimatization to high altitude.
