OBJECTIVE: With the advent of evidence-based medicine, much of the complex testing that infertile couples used to undergo is no longer recommended as part of the routine evaluation. Uterine torsion is a twisting of the uterus or uterine horn perpendicular to its long axis. We report a case of uterine torsion in an adult breeding Sprague Dawley rat. Laparoscopic methods that combine multiple surgical procedures are becoming more widely used, but few combined procedures performed through a single incision have been reported. A major difficulty with the single-incision approach is that all the instruments are necessarily oriented along the same axis. A 32-year-old Thai woman presented with acute severe lower abdominal pain and 8 weeks of amenorrhea. The patient was hypotension, had anemia and signs of lower abdominal peritonitis. Initial diagnosis was tubal pregnancy with rupture. Intraoperatively, there were hemoperitoneum and two fetuses were found in the pelvis. Final diagnosis of ruptured unilateral twin tubal pregnancy was achieved. A right salpingectomy was done. There was no immediate complication.

A case of retroperitoneal lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) arising from endosalpingiosis is described. A 25-year-old woman with no history of tuberous sclerosis or hormonal therapy presented with a painless, palpable abdominal mass. This case report describes a Mullerian serous adenocarcinoma arising within a multoloculated cyst lined by ciliated serous-type epithelium located in the sigmoid mesentery. Twenty years previously the patient underwent a hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and omentectomy.
