Rhodium (II) complex with 2-benzoylpyridine (Rh(L)2Cl2) is a new, synthetic, active metal-complex, which is produced by the reaction of 2-benzoylpyridine (L) with rhodium chloride hydrate (RhCl3·nH2O). BACKGROUND: Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) is a zooanthroponosis affecting both rural and periurban areas, and can also spread into urban areas. VL has emerged in many countries in the world, presenting new cases in new countries of occurrence. Thus, studies concerning epidemiological aspects in different world regions are very meaningful.

A novel series of Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Co(II), and Cd(II) complexes have been synthesized from the Schiff base.
