A 48-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital in 2003, complaining of weight loss. Complete blood cell count revealed thrombocytopenia. Abdominal CT demonstrated marked splenomegaly. FDG-PET revealed a hot spot in the whole spleen. A splenectomy was performed. Histological examination was typical for angiosarcoma.
