Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) activity, red blood cell (RBC) lipid peroxidation and deformability were investigated in hemizygous and heterozygous G6PD deficient subjects and compared with normal individuals. Pituitary gland volume was measured in 16 men between the ages of 26-33 with magnetic resonance imaging.
