We analyzed 8 pathological factors in order to recognize which of them are statistically significant in worsening the stage of cervical cancer. Three factors (external third invasion, CLS, parametrial invasion) are highly significant (p less than 0.001) as regards lymphatic metastases, while no one statistical relation has been found among grading or histotype and cervical canal invasion. Forty cases of a distinctive acervate epidermal tumour (intra-epidermal epithelioma of Jadassohn) are described. The pathological and clinical features distinguishing it from other skin tumours are emphasized. Invasive areas were found in five of the cases, one with metastasis to a lymph node, underlining the need to differentiate this tumour from benign epidermal tumours, such as 'irritated' seborrhoeic keratosis and inverted follicular keratosis with which it has been and still is frequently confused.

We present the case of a 63-year-old male with long-term anal pain. A pelvic MRI was performed showing a tumor arising from the intersphincteric extending into the submucosal layer of the posterior rectal wall. The image was compatible with a cT4N0 ano-rectal carcinoma without any distant metastasis on the CT scan. Histopathology showed neoplastic proliferation cells arranged in nodules and nidus consistent with anal glands adenocarcinoma with a positive immunohistostaining for CK7 and MUC5+ .
