Mycoplasma hominis, a common inhabitant of the mucosae of the genitourinary tract of human and nonhuman primates, was inoculated directly into the uterine tubes of five laparotomized grivet monkeys. A self-limiting acute salpingitis and parametritis developed within a few days in all animals. Although there were no clinical signs of overt disease, the gross pathology was characterized by pronounced oedematous swelling and hyperaemia of the tubes and parametria. Twenty-five children treated for ovarian neoplasms at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Yorkhill,Glasgow, between 1947 and 1974 are reported. Eight of the patients had malignant tumours and 17 benign. The patients with benign tumours were treated by either salpingo-oophorectomy or oophorectomy. The malignant cases were treated with either surgery alone or in combination with deep X-ray therapy and/or chemotherapy. Two patients died of malignant teratoma, but the remaining 6 with malignant teratoma, dysgerminoma or endodermal sinus are well. The management of these patients is discussed.

OBJECTIVE: To present two case reports of techniques for removal of the Essure (Conceptus, Inc., Mountain View, CA) hysteroscopic tubal occlusion device.
DESIGN: Case report.
SETTING: University-affiliated teaching hospital.
PATIENT(S): Two women requesting removal of Essure devices because of persistent pelvic pain up to 6 weeks after placement.
INTERVENTION(S): Hysteroscopic and laparoscopic removal of the Essure microinserts. No institutional review board approval was obtained because the procedures were not part of a study protocol.
MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE(S): Effective removal of the Es

We investigated the influence of pelvic endometriosis and ovarian endometrioma on pregnancy outcome in women associated with infertility. A total of 237 women with endometriosis were reviewed, and their fertility rate was assessed by both r-AFS staging and TOP classification as previously proposed by our group. A desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) presented in a 13-year-old female with an acute abdomen due to torsion of a fallopian tube cyst. Uterus didelphys refers to a congenital uterine anomaly that occurs due to failed fusion of the paired Müllerian ducts.
