Digital Papillary Adenocarcinoma (DPA) is a rare tumor that can cause metastasis and death. It can morphologically mimic benign sweat gland tumors. In 2022, the novel association of HPV-42 and DPA was discovered by means of DNA sequencing. In this scoping review, we aimed to systematically evaluate alternatives to HPV-42 molecular sequencing. Apocrine carcinoma of the vulva is a rare form of vulvar cancer, with the papillary subtype being even more uncommon. There are less than 20 reported cases of vulvar apocrine carcinoma, and only 2 reported cases specifically of the tubulo-papillary subtype. External auditory canal cancer is a rare disease which can be treated by surgery or chemoradiation. The most common histological type is squamous cell carcinoma, but rare types such as adenocarcinoma have been reported and are thought to be derived from the ceruminous glands. Here, we present a case of ceruminous adenocarcinoma, not otherwise specified (NOS) in the external auditory canal. A 72-year-old woman was referred to our department with discomfort due to a mass in the external ear canal. No typical symptoms of malignancy, such as pain or bleeding, were noted at the initial examination.

There are 36 cases of complex poroid tumors with folliculosebaceous and apocrine differentiation reported in the literature. The authors evaluated 111 poroid tumors including 63 typical eccrine poromas and 48 poroid tumors with folliculosebaceous elements.
