Giardia duodenalis and Cryptosporidium spp. are significant zoonotic parasites that cause diarrhea and affect a diverse range of hosts. Organophosphate esters (OPEs) and their metabolites (mOPEs) are emerging pollutants. In this study, 18 OPEs and 10 mOPEs were measured in the 6th and 7th Beijing total diet studies (TDSs), and the dietary intakes of these pollutants by Beijing adults were estimated to assess related health concerns. BACKGROUND: Actinomycosis is a rare infectious disease with non-specific clinical presentations often resulting in delayed diagnosis, especially in older adults. Diagnosing and treating actinomycetal infections in this population can be particularly challenging due to the lack of comprehensive case series studies focusing specifically on actinomycosis in older adults. The existing literature mainly consists of case reports, highlighting the need for more extensive research in this area.
