BACKGROUND: Retrograde ejaculation causes < 2% of male infertility but is the leading cause of aspermia. The incidence of retrograde ejaculation is increasing due to the aggressiveness of modern urologic cancer surgery and an increase in diabetes mellitus. Generally, the only adverse effect is on fertility. Various approaches have been proposed for treatment, ranging from insemination with sperm-rich urine obtained after masturbation to intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). BACKGROUND: Angiogenesis plays an essential role in embryonic and tumoral developments. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), one of the best known proangiogenic factors, is increased in thyroid cancers, especially in papillary carcinomas (PC). However, other regulating mechanisms refine VEGF-induced cellular changes, such as the Notch family of ligands and receptors. Their role has not yet been investigated in the thyroid. 114 patients with primary carcinoma of the vagina were treated in our hospital from 1958 to 1978. It accounted for 0.83% of all gynecological malignant tumors in the same period. The youngest was 26 years of age, the oldest 75. BACKGROUND: The spectrum of cutaneous metastasis of non-hematopoietic neoplasms in the pediatric population is not well documented. We report the histologic diversity of this unusual process over a 30-year period at a tertiary care center for pediatric malignancy (St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, USA).
METHODS: Of 1,971 pathology accessions which included histologic material on skin (1,604 surgical cases and 367 autopsy cases) we found 40 cases (2% of total skin accessions) coded for metastatic non-hematopoietic malignancy.

The clinical and pathologic features of 254 teratomas from 245 patients are reviewed. All patients were 21 years of age or younger and were treated at the Children's Hospital Medical Center from 1928 to 1982. One-hundred thirty-seven patients with a history or clinical evidence of cryptorchidism and testicular germinal tumor were treated at our hospital from 1934 to 1976.
