CONCLUSIONS: Cryosurgery is an effective treatment for locally confined prostate cancer. With improvement of the procedure, clinical outcome may also improve.

BACKGROUND: Angiofibromas of the central part of the face (adenoma sebaceum) occur pathognomonically in tuberous sclerosis, causing significant cosmetic and hygienic morbidity. Treatment has included excision, dermabrasion, cryosurgery, carbon dioxide laser, and argon laser. Copper vapor lasers emit light at 511 nm (green) ad 578 nm (yellow), useful for treating pigmented and vascular lesions, respectively.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the relative performance of carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide as the cryogenic gas in an ophthalmic cryotherapy machine.
METHODS: We performed a benchtop analysis of CO2- and N2O-driven cryotherapy delivery systems in the Keeler laboratory, UK. For each gas, 10 cryotherapy probes were tested in terms of the internal and external tip temperatures, when applied to a simulated tissue sample.

RATIONALE: Isolated endotracheal neurofibroma is very rare. The majority of neurofibromas are benign, but rarely, they can become cancerous. Furthermore, symptomatic neurofibroma is usually treated by surgical resection. OBJECTIVE: Premature ejaculation (PE) is regarded as one of the most common male sexual dysfunctions. This review introduced several pharmaceutical and surgical methods for the management of PE. The definition, etiology, behavioral, and psychological therapy of PE were also discussed.
