A seventy-five-year-old man with a four-month history of dysuria had a verrucous squamous carcinoma harbored within a bladder diverticulum. Whereas this low-grade malignancy occasionally develops in bilharzial specimens, its occurrence in schistosome egg-negative bladders is distinctly uncommon, having been the subject of only 1 previous case report.

Herpes simplex encephalitis (HSE) is the most common cause of infectious encephalitis. Our case is of a 75-year-old woman who presented with dysuria and altered mental status. Our case addresses the difficulties in diagnosis and highlights the importance of early recognition of HSE and its associated neurological sequelae.

While applying direct electrical stimulation to the pudendal nerve and recording of electromyographic reactions of bulbocavernosus muscle and/or transverse perineal muscle, pudendal nerve block by phenol was performed for the treatment of dysuria due to detrusor-sphincter dyssynergia, resulting in a favourable response. In humans and other mammals, urinary myiasis can be rarely caused by Eristalis tenax, which belongs to the order Diptera. In this case, we report a 21-year-old woman with this myiasis. She was complaining of dysuria and bilateral Costolumbar pain. The larva in her urine sample was identified as E. tenax associated with its typical morphology.

Colovesical fistula is a common complication of diverticulitis. Pneumaturia, fecaluria, urinary tract infections, abdominal pain, and dysuria are commonly reported. The authors report a case of colovesical fistula due to asymptomatic diverticulitis, and they emphasize the importance of deeply investigate recurrent urinary tract infection without any bowel symptoms. We describe a 3-year-old boy who presented with dysuria and urinary retention. The diagnostic work-up (USS, MRI, urethrocystoscopy), suggested a polypoid lesion at the bladder base, originating from the verumontanum. Histology showed the lesion to be a fibroepithelial polyp. A rare cause of urinary retention in childhood must be considered in the differential diagnosis.

A 12-year-old Clydesdale gelding was presented for colic and dysuria. Obstructive urolithiasis and chronic renal disease were diagnosed via transurethral endoscopy and percutaneous ultrasonography.
