Undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma (UPS) and myxofibrosarcoma (MFS) are genomically complex tumors commonly diagnosed in the extremities or trunk of elderly patients. They likely represent a spectrum of disease differentiated by myxoid stroma and curvilinear vessels observed in MFS but not in UPS. Limb-sparing surgery is the standard of care although the infiltrative nature of MFS mandates wider resection margins than are necessary for UPS. Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans of the vulva is an extremely rare neoplasm. This low-grade sarcoma of the dermis clinically appears to be encapsulated but microscopically has tumor projections well away from the central nodules. Wide local excision is the recommended treatment for dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans; however, a more radical surgical approach may be needed to obtain clear surgical margins. The following case study present the fifth reported patient with this unusual neoplasm on the vulva.

Squamous cell carcinoma was the most common neoplasm found in a review of case records of 21 cats with histopathologically confirmed orbital neoplasms. Other neoplasms found were lymphosarcoma, undifferentiated carcinoma, malignant melanoma, adenocarcinoma, fibrosarcoma, chondroma, and hemangiosarcoma. Myxoinflammatory fibroblastic sarcoma (MIFS) is a rare tumor of soft tissue. It typically presents as a low-grade sarcoma with myxoid stroma, has a predilection for distal extremities, and displays a high propensity for local recurrence, but low metastatic potential. The risk factors associated with high-risk lesions metastasizing are poorly defined. In cases where the tumor metastasizes, therapeutic options are few, and death is rare. BACKGROUND: Low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma (LGFMS) is a rare tumor characterized by bland histological features and aggressive clinical course. The most common anatomic locations of occurrence are the lower extremities, thorax, inguinal area, and upper limbs. Primary mediastinal sarcomas are even rarer. Thrombus aspiration is currently the standard strategy for primary PCI. Thrombus can be aspirated via aspiration catheters, restoring coronary blood flow. Myxofibrosarcoma (MFS) is an extremely rare tumor of the orbit, with only 3 cases reported in the literature, although it is one of the most frequent sarcomas arising from extremities in the elderly patients. The scarcity of literature regarding orbital MFS poses a challenge in its diagnosis and management. A new case of orbital MFS, its clinicopathologic correlation, and management with a brief review of literature is reported.

The case of a 21-year-old man with dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans of the scalp that spread to deep cervical lymph nodes is presented. Available literature is reviewed, and the infrequency of metastasis is discussed. Since cases of metastases almost always involve recurrent lesions, the importance of wide and deep resection in the initial operation cannot be overemphasized.
