The discrimination of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) is a challenging task but of great importance to ensure their safe use in clinics. Herein, four supramolecular AIE nanoassemblies denoted as PDDA-TPE100, PDDA-TPE75, PDDA-TPE50, and PDDA-TPE25 were synthesized by loading different amounts of the negatively charged AIEgen TPE onto the surface of the positively charged polymer PDDA. The aim of this study was to evaluate the inhibitory effect of sirolimus coating on the occurrence of restenosis and thrombosis with heparinized stents. Low-molecular-weight heparins (LMWHs) have some effects on cell proliferation and inflammation beyond mere anticoagulation. They have been tried on treatment of a few dermatological disorders such as lichen planus, skin wound healing, recurrent aphtous stomatitis, chronic urticaria, and contact hypersensitivity. LMWHs are generally well-tolerated drugs, rarely can lead to severe reactions. In this article, we will review the novel indications of LMWHs in dermatology practice and common skin reactions associated with their use.

Currently, this entity has been established as a clearly defined pathology. Patients with Fontan palliation and single-ventricle physiology encounter multiple comorbidities including plastic bronchitis, a disease characterised by the plugging of small and large airways by rubbery, white casts. To date, no controlled clinical trials have demonstrated effective treatment of plastic bronchitis. We report the application of aerosolised heparin, which has published success in non-cardiac-related pulmonary disease, for this complication in a Fontan patient.

Anticoagulation is essential for maintaining the fluidity of extravascular blood on the apheresis circuit. Although both citrate and heparin are used as an anticoagulant during apheresis, citrate is preferred for the majority of exchange procedures because of its safety and effectiveness.
