Double common bile duct (DCBD) is a rare congenital anomaly of the biliary system, often associated with biliary lithiasis, choledochal cyst, pancreaticobiliary maljunction (PBM), and upper gastrointestinal tract malignancies. We report a case of type I DCBD with choledochal cyst and cholelithiasis in a 52-year-old Chinese man. We also reviewed 24 cases of DCBD reported in the Chinese literature between 1965 and 2012. Real-time ultrasonography was used intra-operatively in 12 cases of renal lithiasis, in association with radiography. The 10 MHz instrument with sectorial probe is small and easy to sterilise. UNLABELLED: Miniinvasive treatment can be used in many early complications following laparoscopic cholecystectomy. In this article are analyzed the indications and the efficiency of these techniques.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: We analyzed here a group of 9542 laparoscopic cholecystectomy operated in 9 years. Disease of the common bile duct (choledochal duct) was revealed in 18 from 531 patients with bile tract lithiasis (3.4%), who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy and in 3 of 72 patients (5.4%), who underwent cholecystectomy through minilaparotomy approach. A clinical case is described featuring bilateral lithiasis of the renal pelvis and calices in conjunction with cystic kidney in a female patient. Progression was shown by tumor enhancement in the lower abdomen, a distension of the concretions in pyelogram, and an increment of creatine in the serum. Chronic pancreatitis (CP) is an inflammatory syndrome that causes irreversible damage and loss of pancreatic function.
