Abnormalities of the kidney and/or urinary tract are common, and are more common in males than females. We present a case of unilateral pelvic kidney on the left side in a 26-year-old man. A pelvic kidney is a rare entity with a low clinical incidence. An ectopic kidney is often associated with an increased incidence of stone formation as a result of stasis caused by the altered geometry of urinary drainage.

Fractures of the pelvis are of increasing interest, especially in older patients due to the often concomitant osteoporosis. The low bone quality can be a problem in several fixation situations. In this review the present and relevant literature on biomechanical data of unstable pelvic ring injuries and all biomechanical data dealing with osteosynthesis for acetabular fractures are discussed.

Reported herein is the case of a 70-year-old man with high grade urothelial carcinoma (UC) with rhabdoid features of the renal pelvis. For the most part, the tumor was composed of pleomorphic, non-cohesive round tumor cells with abundant cytoplasm. OBJECTIVE: The frequency of endometriotic lesions in the right and left hemipelvis was analysed in 856 women with endometriosis. Eligible for the study were women with primary or secondary sterility, chronic pelvic pain, fibroids or benign ovarian cysts requiring laparoscopy or laparotomy consecutively observed between May 1991 and July 1992 in 23 obstetric and gynecology departments in Italy. A 65-year-old man visited our hospital with the complaint of left hypochondrial pain. Since he had left giant hydronephrosis due to ureteral stone, we performed left nephrectomy. We hereby report a case of a child who presented with abdominal distension and urinary retention. Radiological investigations and exploratory laparotomy revealed a cystic mass in the sacral region pushing the urinary bladder anteriorly and upwards. Histopathological examination revealed neuroglial elements. Neuroglial cysts are uncommon outside the central nervous system and this is the first report of its occurrence in abdomen and pelvis.
