Transcription termination is a key regulatory step in transcription and a potential target for cancer therapy, but how it can be exploited for treatment is incompletely understood. Common fragile sites (CFSs) are genomic regions susceptible to chromosome breaks. However, because they were identified using cell populations, low-frequency fragile sites (non-CFSs) could have been overlooked. We have previously reported that two inhibitors of an E3 ligase S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 (Skp2), SMIP004 and C1, have an antidepressant-like effect in non-stressed and chronically stressed mice. This prospective study investigated the clinical significance of cell kinetics, measured using bromodeoxyuridine injection and flow cytometry, in primary and metastatic cutaneous malignant melanoma. The preparations of phase II S. sonnei neurotoxin do not contain the endotoxin and high-molecular antigens of S. sonnei, phase I, which protect guinea pigs from the development of experimental keratoconjunctivitis; these preparations are toxic for mice and possess low immunogenicity.
