Ethics and informed consent in clinical trial integrity: An international, multi-stakeholder consensus statement by Cairo Consensus Group.

Recent studies have revealed issues with ethical practice and informed consent in randomized clinical trials (RCTs). We aimed to develop an international, multi-stakeholder consensus statement on human research ethics committee approval and informed participant consent for RCTs. The consensus process encompassed a systematic scoping review, modified two-round Delphi survey, and final consensus meeting of a multi-stakeholder group, including trialists, ethics committee members, methodologists, patient representatives, journal editors, and other experts on RCTs. Delphi consensus deployed the Ave

Developing a clinical decision tool to support paramedics when assessing and managing children with minor head injury.

BACKGROUND: Head-injured children are commonly transported to the Emergency Department (ED) by ambulance. However, most of those conveyed are deemed non-serious and are discharged at triage. Hospital clinicians use clinical decision tools to support their assessment of head-injured children; however, this is generally to determine whether a computed tomography (CT) scan is indicated. Currently, there is no pre-hospital clinical decision tool designed to support paramedics when assessing and managing head-injured children at scene. The aim of this study was to determine consensus amongst expert

Facilitator and barrier perspectives on learning and implementing high-resolution anoscopy in Abuja, Nigeria: a qualitative study.

BACKGROUND: Early detection and treatment of anal precancer via high resolution anoscopy (HRA) is paramount to prevent anal cancer, particularly for populations at heightened risk like sexual minority men (SMM) living with HIV. Successful training and sustainability of cancer screening requires attention to local contexts, best captured by qualitative research. Using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), this study investigated factors that challenged or fostered learning and implementing HRA across a variety of stakeholder groups in Abuja, Nigeria. METHODS: Using in-

"Prevention Alone Is Not Enough:" Stakeholders' Perspectives About School-based Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) Prevention Programs and CSA Research in China.

While existing studies have examined the effectiveness of school-based child sexual abuse (CSA) prevention programs in China, there is currently little qualitative evidence on how stakeholders view these programs and research on CSA in China more generally. To address this research gap, the aims of this study were to explore stakeholders' perspectives on: (a) school-based CSA prevention programs in China; (b) the components of these programs; (c) CSA research in China. Qualitative semi-structured interviews were conducted with 21 participants in Beijing and a county under Lanzhou City, China.

Urban Mental Health: Perspectives of Local Stakeholders on Factors That Shape Mental Health of City Residents.

Mental health issues are more prevalent in urban areas, which is increasingly concerning as urbanization accelerates worldwide. Therefore, understanding the various aspects of urban life that influence mental health is crucial. We explored the perspectives on urban mental health of local professionals who are working within the field of mental health and policy in urban settings. Since this group of stakeholders has the professional capacity to shape the way mental health is addressed at the local level, it is particularly important to understand how they conceptualize urban mental health and

A Qualitative Study on Parental and Community Stakeholder Views of the Link between Full-Day Kindergarten and Health in Southern Nevada.

Studies show that children who attend full-day kindergarten (FDK) experience both academic and developmental benefits compared to children who attend half-day programs. Sectors outside of health, such as education, can have important intended and unintended impacts on health. The purpose of this qualitative study was to understand perceptions of parental and other stakeholders in Southern Nevada (USA) about the education⁻health link, and to understand priorities regarding how FDK access could affect health. Two 90-minute focus groups were conducted with 14 adult stakeholder participants repres

Palliative care development as a solution to mitigate the human crisis of cancer in low- and middle-income countries: a theory of change approach.

BACKGROUND: The burden of cancer is rising in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), where social determinants, limited access to treatment, and inadequate palliative care amplify suffering. With most unmet palliative care needs concentrated in LMICs, strengthening palliative care in these settings is a moral and health systems imperative. This study aimed to develop a roadmap for palliative care development in LMICs. METHODS: A theory of change framework was used to explore palliative care development in LMICs as it enabled mapping of complex, interacting elements and their impact on mean

National priority setting partnership using a Delphi consensus process to develop neonatal research questions suitable for practice-changing randomised trials in the UK.

BACKGROUND: The provision of neonatal care is variable and commonly lacks adequate evidence base; strategic development of methodologically robust clinical trials is needed to improve outcomes and maximise research resources. Historically, neonatal research topics have been selected by researchers; prioritisation processes involving wider stakeholder groups have generally identified research themes rather than specific questions amenable to interventional trials. OBJECTIVE: To involve stakeholders including parents, healthcare professionals and researchers to identify and prioritise research
