BACKGROUND: Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) are underutilized in medical device evaluations, including in ophthalmology and intraocular lens (IOL) replacements. This article summarizes research conducted to develop the Patient-Reported Intraocular Lens Questionnaire (PR-ILQ) and support its content validity and psychometric performance.
