Fifteen patients with simultaneous presentation of meningiomas with other intracranial tumours are reviewed. The associated tumours included a brain metastasis in six cases, glioma in three, pituitary adenoma in two, craniopharyngioma in one,acoustic schwannoma in two and brain lymphoma in one. Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC) is an uncommon undifferentiated neuroendocrine tumor, arising in skin mainly on sun-exposed areas. We present an unusual case of primary cutaneous undifferentiated small cell carcinoma that co-existed with six other lesions; 2 actinic keratoses, 3 squamous-cell carcinomas and a basal-cell carcinoma. Bilateral renal cell carcinoma is detected at an incidence rate of 1.6-6% of all renal tumors. The management, histopathological results and the long-term follow-up of 66 patients with bilateral renal cell carcinoma (29 synchronous, 37 asynchronous tumors) are presented in this issue. PURPOSE: To correlate clinical and pathologic patterns of myelolipoma with the computed tomographic (CT) appearance.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: All cases of myelolipoma accessioned by the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology from 1981 through 1997 were reviewed. CT images were scored for the location and size of each myelolipoma and the presence of calcification, hemorrhage, fat, and pseudocapsule. The aim of this retrospective study was to correlate the results of hormonal immunocytochemistry of 46 endocrine tumors to the corresponding clinical syndromes in 24 patients. PURPOSE: To assess the role of E-cadherin as prognostic biomarker in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) in a large multi-institutional cohort of patients.

Jehovah's Witnesses are a well-known patient demographic in medicine because of their religious-based refusal of blood transfusion. This case report outlines the treatment of a Jehovah's Witness patient in need of an extensive cytoreductive surgery due to a peritoneal carcinomatosis of ovarian origin. The surgeons carried out all the recommended surgical and anaesthetic measures concluding that extensive cytoreductive surgery on a Jehovah's Witness is possible and that a complete cytoreduction can be safely performed.

Neuroendocrine gastroenteropancreatic tumors constitute a heterogeneous group of neoplasms, with the primary tumors being located in the gastric mucosa, pancreas, and small and large intestine. The development of a second primary malignancy in patients with these tumors is a well-described phenomenon, and the reported incidence ranges from 12% to 46%. The most common site of associated noncarcinoid malignancies is the gastrointestinal tract, which involves from 30% to 60% of the tumors. We report a case of concurrent colon carcinoma and two neuroendocrine tumors of the duodenum.

This paper presents 10 patients with a diagnosis of testicular tumour in whom computed tomography (CT) at staging or follow-up demonstrated abnormalities which mimic the appearance of metastatic testicular tumour. The entities mimicking metastases were sarcoidosis, mushroom worker's lung, lymphoma and phaeochromocytoma. Representative examples of these lesions are illustrated and features which may enable the radiologist to differentiate them from metastatic testicular tumour are discussed.
