BACKGROUND: This study was designed to investigate the effect of vitiligo on the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: This prospective study was conducted in the Department of Ophthalmology at Kırıkkale University during 2010 and 2011. Sixty eight eyes of 34 vitiligo patients were included in the study. Eighty four eyes were served as control. RNFL thickness was measured by scanning laser polarimetry (Nerve Fiber Analyzer, GDx VCC: 5.3.3; Laser Diagnostic Technologies, San Diego, CA, USA).

Panoramic radiographs from 364 subjects with repaired cleft lip and/or palate and with or without syndromes were compared with 364 panoramic radiographs from noncleft controls. BACKGROUND: The primary aim of the present study was to determine the survival rates and identify predictors of disease duration in a cohort of Huntington's disease (HD) patients from Southern Italy.
METHODS: All medical records of HD patients followed between 1977 and 2008 at the Department of Neurological Sciences of Federico II University in Naples were retrospectively reviewed and 135 patients were enrolled in the analysis. This study was designed to determine the frequency of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and the effectiveness of the screening protocol in preterm infants for our country. With these objectives, the charts of 1000 preterm infants were reviewed in Ondokuz Mayis University, Department of Ophthalmology. Previous research has reported a strong relationship between endorsing gambling as an escape and problem/pathological gambling as measured by the South Oaks Gambling Screen (SOGS).
