Vascular rings are a rare congenital anomaly of the aortic arch, in which a ring-shaped structure forms, surrounding the trachea and/or esophagus, potentially causing compression. We describe the case of a 14-month-old female patient with failure to thrive secondary to dysphagia, and a vascular ring formed by a right aortic arch, an aberrant left subclavian artery, and a left ligamentum arteriosum. OBJECTIVE: To increase the knowledge of small intestine disease, improve the diagnostic rate and discusses the examination methods.
METHODS: 224 cases of small intestine disease were studied and their major symptoms, etiology, diagnostic methods were analyzed.
RESULTS: The major symptoms of small intestine disease were abdominal pain (58%), abdominal mass (18%), fever (17%) and hematochezia (12%). Four significant complications of Teflon injections for stress urinary incontinence are reported in 22 women and eight men. Three of the complications included periurethral abscess, urethral diverticulum, and periurethral Teflon granuloma with urethral wall prolapse occurred in women. These complications needed surgical excision and further surgery for stress incontinence, in two patients the outcome was good. We report a stillborn female infant with multiple internal and external anatomic abnormalities and mosaicism for isochromosome 12p. These abnormalities included webbed neck, low-set ears, lower jaw tooth bud, left simian crease, shield chest, focal aplasia cutis, diaphragmatic hernia, hypoplastic lungs, agenesis of pericardium, and Meckel's diverticulum. Jejunal diverticula, like other intestinal diverticula, can become complicated and present as acute abdomen. Diagnosis is difficult and management in complicated cases can be surgical as well as conservative. We present two cases of complicated jejunal diverticulosis that presented with acute abdomen and were managed surgically. Post-operative recovery was satisfactory. Jejunal diverticula is a diagnostic challenge in a low-resource peripheral hospital.

Enteric duplication cysts (EDCs) are congenital malformations of the gastrointestinal tract. EDCs can present as tubular or spherical cystic lesions of the abdomen. The tubular variant of EDC arises as an outpouching from the bowel wall, whereas the spherical variant rarely shows bowel communication.
