Caecal volvulus is a rare cause of intestinal obstruction, with the bascule subtype accounting for <10% of all cases of caecal volvulus. It is associated with significant morbidity and mortality if left undiagnosed. Diaphragm disease of small intestine usually presents with nonspecific clinical features. Radiological investigations often fail to differentiate it from small intestinal tumors and inflammatory bowel disease. It is therefore diagnosed on final histology after surgical resection. We hereby report an interesting case of a suspected small bowel tumor later diagnosed as diaphragm disease on histology.
