Persons with atopic dermatitis run a considerable risk of developing hand eczema when exposed to occupational agents that are a burden to the skin. This also pertains to those with a history of skin atopy in childhood. This review presents estimates of the risk of developing hand eczema and examines the evidence for an effect modification by skin atopy on exposure. BACKGROUND: Irritants, friction and occlusion favor dermatitis or inflammatory reactions in the diaper area. Diaper dermatitis is not found exclusively in children but also in adults wearing a diaper for urinary incontinence.
CASE: We report a case of eroded papules on the labia majora in a woman with urinary incontinence.
CONCLUSION: Erythema papuloerosive of Sevestre and Jacquet is an unusual dermatitis due to irritant agents in the diaper area that may also affect adults. As this dermatitis may resemble neoplasia and venereal disease, it can be easily misdiagnosed, especially in adults.

A 13-year-old neutered female domestic shorthaired cat had progressive ventral abdominal alopecia attributed initially to hyperthyroidism. We report a case of contact dermatitis due to sodium bisulfite in Tathion eye drops. A 72-year-old woman was treated daily with two solutions including Tathion eye drops for senile cataract for two years and three months. She developed edema, swelling, erythema, and vesicles on her eyelids.
