PURPOSE: This study aimed to characterize the transepithelial transport of miltefosine (HePC), the first orally effective drug against visceral leishmaniasis, across the intestinal barrier to further understand its oral absorption mechanism.

A new desulfurizing absorbent for flue gas, i.e., an organic physical solvent of DMSO(dimethyl sulfoxide) mixed with a relatively small amount of chemical solvent (Mn2+) was studied. OBJECTIVES: The reason for high water absorption by room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone denture soft lining materials has not been demonstrated previously. An experimental room-temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone soft lining material which had been shown to have good mechanical properties had high water absorption at equilibrium whilst losing only small amounts of soluble material after desorption.
