The combination of ferromagnetism, superconductivity, and spin-orbit coupling in interfacial two-dimensional electron liquids (2DELs) assembles the essential ingredients for realizing tantalized topological or spin polarized superconductivity for interfacial oxitronics. CASE: A 61-year-old man was diagnosed with severe chest trauma after a car accident and had had difficulty in weaning from a ventilator because of flail chest and dilated cardiomyopathy. On the 17th day in the intensive care unit, he received i.v. acetazolamide to increase urine output. One hour after the injection, he suddenly developed severe hypoxia. Chest radiography revealed a butterfly shadow. He received other diuretics and a vasodilator, which seemed slowly to resolve the respiratory failure. Five days later, acetazolamide was again given and he experienced the same deterioration.

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this series is to describe the first-trimester sonographic findings leading to the diagnosis of monosomy 18p.
METHODS: The sonographic appearance of 2 cases of monosomy 18p, detected as part of first-trimester sonographic screening for aneuploidy at this institution, was reviewed.
RESULTS: Increased nuchal translucency thickness, alobar holoprosencephaly, and facial defects were detected in both cases. Chromosomal analysis by chorionic villus sampling revealed de novo del(18p) in 1 case and monosomy 18p as the result of an 18q isochromosome in the other.

We present 10 patients diagnosed of supravalvular aortic stenosis (5 dumb bell shaped, 4 membranous and 1 undifferentiated), 7 in association with Williams-Beuren syndrome, 5 were male and 5 were female. Alagille syndrome is an autosomal dominant and multisystemic disease that generally manifests itself with intrahepatic bile ducts paucity, chronic cholestasis, xanthomas and with other less frequent clinical manifestations such as congenital heart disease, skeletal abnomalies, ophthalmic, vascular, renal and growth failure.
