The reactivity to three antigens: bovine encephalitogenic protein (EP), PPD, and tetanus toxoid, was studied with blood leukocytes from healthy humans using Clausen's (5) leukocyte migration in agarose technique. There is an obvious correlation between the reaction of EP (all concentrations studied) and to low concentrations of PPD; and between the reactivity to low concentrations of EP and low concentrations of tetanus toxoid. Serum immunoglobulin, secretory IgA in stools and leucocyte migration inhibition test were done for 75 patients suffering from bilharzial and amoebic dysentery as well as 20 normal controls. Sigmoidoscopic examination with immunofluorescent staining of colonic biopsy was done in patients with bilharzial dysentery. Abundant evidence suggests that Treponema pallidum (T.p.) escapes humoral immune defence despite the host produces antibodies early in the infection. Cellular hypersensitivity of bovine leukocytes to cysticercus antigen in experimental bovine cysticercosis was demonstrated by means of the migration-inhibition test. The authors detected lymphokin which is capable of suppressing in vitro the migration of heterogeneous cells of the macrophage type. The maximum value of migration inhibition was 44%.

Leukocyte inhibitory factor (LIF) was investigated in 9 patients with localized granuloma annulare and 8 patients with the generalized form of the disease. The control group consisted of 10 matched, apparently healthy subjects. LIF values were significantly higher in patients with granuloma annulare of both groups than in controls (p less than 0.05 and 0.01). The effect of Ketoconazole (KTZ) on the hamster experimental intratesticular paracoccidioidomycosis was studied employing different treatment schedules.
