The origins of a fragment of the human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) molecule, beta-core (beta C-hCG) were studied by analysis of beta C-hCG concentrations in biological fluids. METHODS: Clinical data from the Gestational Trophoblastic Disease (GTD) Center at Peking Union Medical Hospital (PUMCH) collected between January 2002 and December 2013 were retrospectively analyzed.
