Effect of Ultra-Fast Light Curing on the Irradiated-Surface Degree of Conversion and Polymer-Network Quality of Bioactive and Conventional Bulk-Fill Resin Composites: An In Vitro Study.

Background: Ultra-fast high-irradiance curing shortens exposure time, but its effects on conversion and polymer-network integrity may vary among bulk-fill resin composites. This in vitro study was designed as a materials-level investigation of irradiated-surface polymerization behavior. It evaluated irradiated-surface degree of conversion and polymer-network quality while deliberately excluding assessment of depth of cure or polymerization throughout the 4 mm bulk increment. Methods: Eighty disk specimens (6 mm × 4 mm) of Filtek One Bulk Fill, SDR Plus, Beautifil Bulk Flowable, and Beautifil B

A novel thin layer chromatography-flame ionization detection method for saturated, asphaltenes, resins, and asphaltenes group-type composition analysis with reverse order of chromatogram development.

The methodologies of asphaltenes-containing petroleum materials: saturated, aromatics, resins, asphaltenes group-type composition analysis are performed with the use of column adsorption-desorption or thin layer chromatography (TLC)-flame ionization detection under normal phase conditions with silica gel as the adsorbent. In a three-step procedure, the TLC chromatogram is developed within a decreasing distance by the mobile phase with increasing elution strength (polarity). The n-alkane used in the first step does not dissolve asphaltenes, which leads to the occlusion effect and an underestima

Impact of varying the core-shell structural sequence on the efficiency of cascade reagent-free Fenton-like oxidation: the case of magnetically recycling resorcinol-formaldehyde resin/magnetite composite microspheres.

Iron-based inorganic-organic hybrid Fenton catalysts, which recently emerged, are recognized as among the novel materials for the deep mineralization of inert pollutants for environmental remediation in photo-assisted Fenton-like reactions, which are one of the typical advanced oxidation processes (AOPs). In this work, magnetically recycling catalysts of resorcinol-formaldehyde resin/magnetite (RF/Fe3O4) core-shell microspheres were rationally designed by tuning the core-shell sequence for visible-light-driven reagent-free Fenton-like oxidation of organic dyes. It is noted that the impact of t

Fatigue survival of endodontically treated teeth restored with different fiber-reinforced composite resin post strategies versus universal 2-piece fiber post system: An in vitro study.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: Various strategies have been proposed to reduce the cement space of foundation restorations for endodontically treated teeth. However, they may add more operative steps, or the dentist must keep different sizes of drills and posts in stock. A 2-piece universal adjustable post system has been developed to overcome this problem, but whether the system has acceptable fatigue survival performance is unclear. PURPOSE: The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the fatigue survival and stress distribution of endodontically treated teeth without a ferrule and restored w
