Nephrogenic adenoma (NA) is a rare finding that represents metaplasia of the urothelium. We present a case of a 46-year-old woman who presented with a symptomatic anterior vaginal wall cyst that was found to be an NA within a urethral diverticulum. Meckel's diverticulum (MD) is a common congenital anomaly of the gastrointestinal tract, the majority of cases of which are clinically silent. Patients with asymptomatic MD can unexpectedly develop acute abdominal pain. Making a diagnosis of MD is often difficult due to the lack of specific symptoms caused by this condition. Nephrogenic adenoma (NA) is a rare benign metaplastic lesion of the urothelial tract that arises as a response to injury and chronic inflammation. Although the most common site for NA is the bladder, it can occur in any part of urinary tract lined by urothelium. NA can mimic minor variants of urothelial cancer, clear cell adenocarcinoma, and prostate adenocarcinoma, making a combination of histologic examination and immunohistochemistry essential for diagnosis. We hereby report a rare case of nephrogenic adenoma arising in a urethral diverticulum.

Urinary stones are rarely seen in the urethra and are usually encountered in men with urethral stricture or diverticulum. The case of a 52-year-old woman presented, who consulted for weak stream associated with repeated urinary infections. The diverticulum was approached via vaginal route and the extraction was successful. The patient has been well, with no dysuria, dyspareunia, incontinence for 3-month follow-ups.

Neoplasms arising within urethral diverticula are rare. It is important to know if a diverticulum is filled by tumor, but traditional diagnostic methods, such as voiding cystourethrography, cannot detect a tumor or diverticulum, as in our case. We report an unusual case of leiomyoma developing in a female urethra diverticulum and review the literature.

Gastric diverticula are rare disorders which present usually with vague upper abdominal symptoms. The diagnosis is based on endoscopic and radiologic findings, but it may remain uncertain until the operation. A 19-year-old woman presented to the emergency department with intermittent and progressively worsening abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. A computed tomographic scan revealed findings consistent with distal small bowel obstruction of unknown etiology. 20 patients with the complicated forms of Meckel diverticulum are treated. The nosological forms were: acute diverticulitis (n=16), acute ileus (n=2), intestinal bleeding (n=1) and perforation of diverticular wall with foreign body n=1). Diverticula on the left side of the colon, especially in the sigmoid colon are a common occurrence in the West. However, right-sided diverticula are less common, being reported from Asian countries like China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and India. Diverticula of the transverse colon are very rare with very few cases reported in literature. We report a case of perforated true diverticulum of the transverse colon in a sixty-two year-old lady.

Diverticulum of Kommerell is an outpouching from the descending aorta that, along with an aberrant subclavian artery and ductus arteriosus, may form a vascular ring compressing the trachea and/or the esophagus. It has been reported as an incidental finding as well as the cause of persistent dysphagia, cough, "asthma," or airway compromise at various ages but has never been reported as a cause of esophageal atresia in a newborn. We present a newborn with diverticulum of Kommerell, a vascular ring, and esophageal atresia.

Meckel's diverticulum is a persistent embryonic remnant occurring in 2% of the general population. As an "ileal appendix", it is usually clinically silent and only discovered at the time of complications: inflammation, hemorrhage, obstruction, tumor. The preoperative diagnosis is rarely made because of the non specific nature of the symptomatology and only about 10% of complicated cases are diagnosed at imaging. Complications from Meckel's diverticulum should always be considered in patients presenting with an acute abdomen, especially in young adults.
