We performed a urodynamic study (UDS) and voiding cystourethrography (VCUG) or videourodynamics for three female patients with urinary dysfunction to differentiate between bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) and detrusor underactivity (DU). This study investigated the long-term effectiveness and safety of a variant of the transobturator vaginal tape inside-out technique for acquired urinary incontinence. Twelve spayed female dogs were operated over a 2 yr period. No intraoperative complications were encountered. Transient dysuria was the most common postoperative complication (7 out of 12 dogs). A metastatic penile tumor of malignant melanoma is very rare. The patient had priapism caused by metastatic penile tumor and the primary cancer was in the end stage. However, in this case, we could relieve the dysuria and pain by percutaneous cystostomy and partial penectomy. The corpus spongiosumcorpus cavernosum shunt could not relieve the priapism and might have accelerated the metastasis.

The urachus is an embryonic remnant that connects the primitive bladder to the allantois. Multiple urachal anomalies have been described, including the urachal sinus, urachal cyst, patent urachus, and urachal diverticulum. We describe an unusual case in which a patient with urinary tract infection and dysuria was ultimately found to have urinary gallstones from a urachal connection with the gallbladder.

A 50-year-old man presented with recurrent episodes of right flank pain and dysuria for many years. Abdominal radiograph and intravenous urography showed extensive right renal parenchymal calcification in a lobar distribution and a non-functioning right kidney, characteristic of end-stage tuberculosis. The pathology, clinical manifestations, and radiological findings of renal tuberculosis are discussed.

We present a rare case of inverted papilloma of the prostatic ureter whose presenting features were gross hematuria and variable dysuria. Endoscopy revealed a polypoid appearance with a fine pedicle arising from the prostatic urethra. Treatment was by transurethral resection of the neoformation. The diagnosis was made on the histopathological findings. The different histopathogenic considerations published in the literature are discussed.

The observation of a cola-colored dipstick positive for "hematuria" was made in an 11-year-old black male who presented to the emergency department with a chief complaint of dysuria. Thorough questioning eventually revealed the source of these two abnormalities to be the addition of povidone iodine to the urine sample. The reported causes of abnormal urine coloration and of false positive dipstick hematuria are summarized.

The authors present ten cases of eosinophil cystopathy and recall the very varied clinical signs of this disease: pollakiuria, haematuria, dysuria and the findings of complementary investigations: possible dilatation of the upper urinary tract, thickening of the bladder wall. We describe a patient who was referred to our hospital because of dysuria, frequency and a palpable mass in the suprapubic area. A specimen obtained at suprapubic exploration consisted of fatty tissue and tentative diagnosis was pelvic lipomatosis. The symptoms persisted and the entire mass was removed from its prevesical pelvic position. The pathological report was xanthogranuloma. Postoperatively, the symptoms disappeared.
