Pyogenic granuloma is a polypoid form of capillary haemangioma that occurs on the skin and mucosal surface. The eruption of multiple pyogenic granuloma is a rare phenomenon. We report the case of a 73-year-old male with a 2 year history of intermittent lower gastrointestinal bleeding. 99Tcm-labelled red blood cell scintigraphy was performed to rule out the possibility of capillary haemangioma on the mucosal surface of the gastrointestinal tract. The images showed disseminated haemangiomas involving the skull, abdominal wall, intestine, scrotum and right leg. The final diagnosis of multiple pyo

OBJECTIVE: To present a review of our experience and that of the medical literature in the diagnosis and management of oral pregnancy tumor (pyogenic granuloma), the natural History of the disease, its hormonal etiology, histopathologic features and management strategies.
STUDY DESIGN: Medical literature review.
RESULTS: This common, benign, hyperplastic oral mucosal lesion is much less familiar to gynecologists and obstetricians than to dentists.
CONCLUSION: For practitioners engaged in primary care obstetrics and gynecology, routine oral examination and proper identification of pyogenic g

Allogeneic bone marrow transplant patients commonly have oral complications related to their disease or its treatment. Those reported include: xerostomia, mucositis, caries, infection, gingival hyperplasia, periodontitis, and graft-versus-host disease. These complications may be responsible for significant morbidity. This article reviews commonly reported oral complications of bone marrow transplantation and presents three cases in which intraoral pyogenic granuloma occurred. The cause of these lesions in post-bone marrow transplant patients is discussed.

The eruption of multiple lobular capillary hemangiomas (granulomata pyogenicum) is a previously documented but uncommon phenomenon. Reported cases have featured the recurrence of multiple satellite lesions after surgical removal of, or trauma to, a solitary capillary hemangioma. Sporadic cases of multifocal lesions arising de novo in both previously traumatized and uninjured skin have been described as well. We describe herein two unusual patients with disseminated lobular capillary hemangioma. One patient developed skin nodules in several sites, including the mouth, knee, thumb, and foot, aft

We report the case of an 11-year-old girl who presented with 2 weeks of nonspecific facial pressure and pain and who was ultimately found to have a right maxillary sinus mass with orbital invasion. Initial imaging and clinical features raised concern for malignancy. However, following biopsy and surgical resection, final pathology revealed a pyogenic granuloma. This benign vascular lesion has rarely been described in the maxillary sinus and, to our knowledge, has not previously been reported to involve the orbit. This case underscores the importance of maintaining a broad differential diagnosi

Pyogenic granuloma (PG) is a common benign vascular lesion characterized by rapid growth and a tendency to bleed. This case series presents 5 patients with solitary PG lesions successfully treated with the topical application of table salt under occlusion. All patients achieved complete clinical and dermoscopic resolution without scarring or recurrence, and treatment was well tolerated with high patient satisfaction. Given its simplicity, safety, and cost-effectiveness, topical salt application may represent a valuable noninvasive alternative for managing PG.

Pyogenic granulomas (PGs) are benign vascular lesions usually found in the skin and mucous membranes but rarely in the gastrointestinal tract. This case highlights a large PG in the small intestine, causing chronic anemia and serving as a lead point for intussusception. We discuss its diagnostic challenges, potential for misdiagnosis, and treatment options. This case underscores the need for awareness among clinicians regarding atypical presentations of PGs. It also highlights the importance of thorough evaluation in patients with unexplained anemia and intermittent obstruction, ensuring timel

UNLABELLED: Among the vast categorization of gingival lesions and overgrowths, the term "reactive hyperplastic lesions" is used to describe certain pathologies reactionary to underlying systemic conditions, local irritants, or trauma. It is emphasized in the literature that treatment planning for all such pathologies includes surgical excision by one means or another. However, an exception is to be made in cases where adhering to the conventional method can be very difficult but at the same time prove favorable for the patient. The present case report aims to showcase an unusual case of locali

Pyogenic granulomas represent tumor-like lesions affecting the skin and the oral cavity. This classic definition can be somewhat misleading because such lesion is not associated with infection and lacks any clinical evidence of pus or histological evidence of actual granulation tissue. This case report describes a surgical excision of the growth to exclude angiomatous proliferation. The patient reported a chief complaint of localized gingival overgrowth since 4 months. Intraoral examination revealed an irregular, sessile exuberant growth in respect to labial aspect and interdental gingiva of 3

Metastases to the face are rare. We report on a patient with a history of renal cell carcinoma who presented with a 1.2cm violaceous papule on his lower lip. Although clinically thought to be a pyogenic granuloma, biopsy revealed metastatic renal cell carcinoma recurring after 7 years of latency.

A pyogenic granuloma is one of the most common benign tumors in the head and neck. However, it rarely occurs in the external auditory canal (EAC). We report a case of a pyogenic granuloma that involved the both EAC in a pregnant woman. The clinical manifestation is discussed with a literature review.

Pyogenic granuloma (PG), more accurately known as lobular capillary hemangioma, is a benign vascular tumor that usually occurs in the skin or oral mucosa. This lesion is rarely reported in the gastrointestinal tract but is known to bleed if not resected. We herein describe a case series with the clinical, endoscopic, and histologic findings of four cases of gastrointestinal PG at our institution. In addition, we provide a review of the literature and summation of all reported cases of PG specific to the gastrointestinal tract. Based on our experience, we suggest that the actual incidence of ga

Pyogenic granuloma (PG) is a common, acquired, benign vascular reactive proliferation that typically develops as a small erythematous papule on the skin or oral mucosal surface. Oral PG is often caused by constant low-grade infection, minor trauma, poor oral hygiene, and due to hormonal disturbances. It shows a striking predilection for the gingiva. Lesions can be excised surgically with removal of the underlying causes. However, this modality may be associated with unnecessary complications. Recently, different laser wavelengths have been used for removal of oral PG. Herein, we present a case
