Ameloblastic fibroma is a rare mixed odontogenic tumour, which is extremely uncommon in the anterior maxillary region. A case report is presented where failure of eruption of an upper central incisor was the presenting feature.

OBJECTIVE: To compare fracture locations, repair methods, complications, and outcomes of horses with fractures of the rostral portions of the mandible and maxilla.

The CT and magnetic resonance (MR) findings of Paget disease of the calvaria and facial bones are described and compared with one another. The sites of dense, woven bone, myeloid marrow, and background Paget matrix can be clearly identified. A rare case of Paget sarcoma (osteogenic sarcoma) of the facial bones is also presented. The distinction between this sarcoma and the Paget bone was clearer on CT than on MR. This presumably is because the bone is directly seen on CT and only indirectly imaged on MR.

A case of bilateral facial microsomia associated with separations of the posterior portion of the maxilla is presented. The X-ray findings revealed hypoplasia of the condyles, absence of the coronoid processes of the mandible, and displacement of the pterygoid processes. Cephalometric analysis revealed a characteristic feature of the facial skeleton a rotation clockwise to the anterior cranial base.

A case is reported of a comminuted compound facial fracture associating a multisplintered comminuted compound fracture of the right palate, with a quadrifocal fracture of the mandible including severe displacement of fragments of a bi-subcondylar fracture.
