OBJECTIVES: Dental defects were evaluated in high-risk neuroblastoma survivors (HRNBLs) who underwent myeloablative conditioning with 1 of 2 high-dose chemotherapy (HDC) regimens prior to autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (PBSCT), without exposure to total body irradiation. PURPOSE: To delineate and discuss a not yet described possible ocular complication of selective intra-arterial chemotherapy (SIAC) for treatment of retinoblastoma.

Cardiac light chain (AL) amyloidosis is a condition with a very poor prognosis. We report a retrospective analysis comparing the traditional melphalan and dexamethasone protocol with cyclophosphamide, bortezomib and dexamethasone in late-stage cardiac AL amyloidosis. The primary end points were overall survival and haematological response. Both regimens provided meaningful responses in this difficult to treat patient group.
