In this study, novel Poria cocos oligosaccharides (PCO) were prepared by enzymatic degradation, and their polymerization degree was determined to be 2-6 by LC-MS analysis. By monosaccharide composition analysis, methylation assay, FT-IR, and NMR analysis, PCO were deduced to contain the sugar residues of (1 → 2)-β-D-Glcp, (1 → 2)-α-D-Glcp, and (1 → 4)-α-D-Glcp. The present study investigated the antitumor activity of the soluble fraction of polysaccharides (SFP), extracted from cabernet franc red wine, in Walker-256 tumor-bearing rats. This study was to investigate the effects of different extraction methods on the yield, chemical structure and antitumor activity of polysaccharides from Cordyceps gunnii (C. gunnii) mycelia. Five extraction methods were used to extract crude polysaccharides (CPS), which include room-temperature water extraction (RWE), hot-water extraction (HWE), microwave-assisted extraction (MAE), ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) and cellulase-assisted extraction (CAE). Then Sephadex G-100 was used for purification of CPS. As a result, the antitumor activities of CPS and PPS on S180 cells were evaluated.

BACKGROUND: A growing number of studies have disclosed the myriad of features that can suggest the diagnosis of a Glucose-transporter-1 deficiency (GLUT1D). The occurrence of paroxysmal movement disorders such as exercise-induced dystonia and non-kinesigenic dyskinesia, received considerable emphasis, while limited attention has been paid to other paroxysmal phenomena, as transitory neurological disorders. We report herein a newly developed domino reaction that facilitates the synthesis of new 1,5-dideoxy-1,5-iminoribitol iminosugar C-glycosides 7a-e and 8.
