Between 1986 and 1990 distal radioulnar arthrodesis with segment resection of the distal ulna (Sauvé-Kapandji Operation) was performed in 31 patients with posttraumatic changes of the distal radioulnar joint; 26 patients could be examined after 10 to 44 months. At the time of examination, all patients had bony fusion between distal radius and ulna; forearm rotation improved by 60.5%, 55% of the patients had significant pain relief. Conscious sedation, as used in dentistry and oral surgery, has been used satisfactorily to manage patients undergoing the intense pain encountered in radio frequency trigeminal rhizotomy for tic douloureux. AIM: The purpose of this study is to report the surgical experience and outcomes with pre-operative localisation of non-palpable breast lesions using the RFID tag system.
METHODS: The cohort for this prospective study included patients over the age of 18 with biopsy proven, non-palpable indeterminate lesions, DCIS or breast cancer requiring pre-operative localisation before surgical excision between September 2020 and July 2022.

PURPOSE OF INVESTIGATION: To show management of patients with breast lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS).
MATERIALS AND METHODS: This study is the retrospective review of 65 patients, between 1996 and 2012, with isolated LCIS of the breast, evaluated through clinical examination, ultrasound, and mammography at the first examination and follow-up.

Distal Radioulnar Joint (DRUJ) dislocation is a commonly missed injury. A high clinical suspicion is required as the dislocation may not be obvious in the conventional views of radiographs. Volar DRUJ dislocations are far less common than the dorsal ones. Since triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) is the major stabilizer of DRUJ, it is common that the irreducible DRUJ dislocation is associated with TFCC tear. We report a patient who had irreducible volar DRUJ dislocation blocked by the volar lip of sigmoid notch, with only isolated volar capsule rupture.

INTRODUCTION: Axis solitary plasmacytoma is a rare cause of cranio-vertebral junction instability and atlanto-axial subluxation. This is the first report in the literature of a patient treated with a DRUJ replacement after Sauvé-Kapandji procedure failed due to pain and instability. The DRUJ replacement is an unconstrained, biomechanically more advantageous implant which can confer stability in cases where soft tissues are inadequate. We describe the treatment and outcome of persistent ulnar instability with a distal radio-ulnar joint replacement following failed salvage procedures for a malunion of a distal radius fracture.
