PURPOSE: Intimate partner violence (IPV) and related stressors increased during the COVID-19 pandemic, uniquely impacting perinatal women during a vulnerable time. This study examined the association between IPV, psychosocial correlates, and COVID-19 stressors.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the association between job change, including first-time and repeat job changes, and new-onset physical and psychological symptoms in a general population sample in Japan.
METHODS: We analyzed data from 19,281 Japanese adults who completed internet-based surveys in both 2022 and 2023. Job change within the past year was self-reported. This study examined how working in an organizational context perceived as hostile toward women affects employees' well-being, even in the absence of personal hostility experiences. Participants were 289 public-sector employees who denied any personal history of being targeted with general or gender-based hostility at work. They completed measures of personal demographics, occupational and physical well-being, and perceptions of the organizational context for women.
