AIMS: With advances in cloud-based technologies, there has been a rise in remote T1D care. We hypothesized that transitioning T1DM care to a virtual, multidisciplinary clinic could improve measures beyond HbA1c.
METHODS: To assess the impact of transitioning from standard to virtual T1DM care, we evaluated glycemic measures and patient reported outcomes.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: We conducted a national survey to assess the opinions and experiences of transplant center staff related to processes of care graduation.
METHODS: Following IRB approval, medical staff at U.S. adult kidney transplant programs were surveyed using the Qualtrics survey platform (4/5/2022-10/05/2022). Respondents were invited via email and listservs of professional societies. Status epilepticus is a common and under-recognized cause of unconsciousness among hospitalized patients. It can clinically mimic delirium and other causes of acute mental status change, especially when clinically relevant seizure activity is not appreciated on physical examination. While the successful treatment of status epilepticus may require anesthetic dosing of antiepileptics such as barbiturates, these seemingly drastic therapeutic measures are justified when goals of care are life prolonging as they may allow a patient to regain consciousness and meaningfully interact with loved ones.
