Little is known about the light phenotype of SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia, which behaves in an unusual way, unlike other known respiratory diseases. We believe that the histopathological features of early COVID-19 could be considered the pathophysiological hallmark of this disease. Chronic retinal detachment of various etiologies was the most frequently associated feature, present in 65% of the patients. Hepatic veno-occlusive disease (HVOD) is rarely encountered and easily misjudged as Budd-Chiari syndrome. It is often related to stem cell transplantation in recent years.
