Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Regarding Colorectal Cancer Screening Among Medical Residents: An Exploratory, Single-Center, Cross-Sectional Study from Egypt.

OBJECTIVE: Colorectal cancer (CRC) in Egypt has a high incidence of early-onset cases compared to Western countries. However, screening rates remain low, which may be attributed to a lack of physician awareness, as well as structural and logistical limitations. This study evaluated medical residents' knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding CRC screening, their perceptions of patient barriers, and their awareness of the "100 Million Healthy Lives" national screening initiative. METHODS: A self-administered, cross-sectional survey was conducted between September 10, 2023, and January 3, 2

Beyond Outcomes: Emotional and Technical Growth Following Procedural Complications.

Major procedural complications are an unavoidable feature of interventional cardiology and often represent pivotal inflection points in an operator's professional development. Beyond their immediate clinical consequences, these events can profoundly influence confidence, judgment, risk tolerance, and subsequent technical growth. Whether complications stimulate learning or precipitate persistent distress depends largely on how they are interpreted, discussed, and supported. This review examines the emotional and cognitive responses of interventional cardiologists following major procedural comp

Emergency Medical Service Responders' Perspectives on Transgender, Intersexual, and Non-Binary Patients in Germany.

INTRODUCTION: Gender minorities, including transgender, intersexual and non-binary (TIN) individuals, are at risk of receiving suboptimal care in emergency departments due to clinicians' limited knowledge and formal training in TIN-specific needs. Little evidence is available regarding emergency medical service (EMS) responders, including paramedics (EMT-P), emergency medical technicians (EMT) ,and prehospital emergency physicians (EP). Therefore, in this study we aimed to explore the experiences and knowledge, attitudes, and education/training needs of EMS professionals in Germany regarding t

Evidence suggests that nursing interventions play a key role in mitigating SSD risk by facilitating early identification as well as timely and effective interventions. This study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) levels of nurses in primary hospitals regarding elderly SSD, identify factors influencing these levels, and construct a network-based tiered training program. Methods A literature review and Delphi expert consul
