Feasibility of MR-Guided PET Reconstruction in Detection of Focal Cortical Dysplasia.

Focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) is one of the most prevalent and difficult to detect structural etiologies of epilepsy. Recent advancements in MRI technology have enhanced detectability of FCD, yet many remain undiagnosed by MRI. FDG-PET may increase detection rates when utilized alongside MRI, yet PET continues to be underutilized beyond temporal lobe epilepsy, likely due to challenges in identifying subtle cortical lesions. Hybrid PET/MR systems present an opportunity to improve image quality and lesion detection, but benefits of hybrid PET/MR in epilepsy beyond workflow advantages are not we

Normal values of high-resolution transmural perfusion distribution metrics for automated quantitative pixel-wise myocardial perfusion cardiovascular magnetic resonance.

BACKGROUND: The myocardial blood flow (MBF) transmural distribution between the subendocardial (ENDO) and subepicardial (EPI) layers under resting and hyperemic conditions can aid in the diagnosis of several forms of heart disease. Recently proposed automated in-line myocardial perfusion cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) allows pixel-wise quantification of ENDO- and EPI-MBF, but normal values for these parameters are lacking. We therefore aimed to establish normal values for transmural distribution of MBF in a healthy population. METHODS: 138 healthy participants from two centers underw

Applications of a deep learning method for anti-aliasing and super-resolution in MRI.

Magnetic resonance (MR) images with both high resolutions and high signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) are desired in many clinical and research applications. However, acquiring such images takes a long time, which is both costly and susceptible to motion artifacts. Acquiring MR images with good in-plane resolution and poor through-plane resolution is a common strategy that saves imaging time, preserves SNR, and provides one viewpoint with good resolution in two directions. Unfortunately, this strategy also creates orthogonal viewpoints that have poor resolution in one direction and, for 2D MR acqui
