We report a case of duodenal carcinoid tumor accompanied by liver metastasis and lymph node metastases in a patient with von Recklinghausen disease. A 48-year-old woman with von Recklinghausen disease was referred to our hospital because of a submucosal tumor at the ampulla of Vater detected by upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. The lesion was diagnosed as a carcinoid tumor based on the pathology of the biopsy specimen. Extramedullary plasmacytoma occurring as a primary pulmonary lesion is rare. The present report describes a 42-year-old Chinese man diagnosed with primary pulmonary plasmacytoma following left lower lobectomy. Of note, an extremely rare immunoglobulin G lambda paraprotein was documented in the patient's serum by immunofixation electrophoresis. The patient has been well, showing no local recurrence or multifocal disease during a 15-month follow-up.

Due to difficult anatomical position nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is always challenging problems both from the diagnostic and therapeutic corner. BACKGROUND: Although basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common type of skin cancer, the incidence of metastasis is exceedingly low.
OBJECTIVE: Case presentation of a basal cell carcinoma arising on the dorsum of the foot with inguinal and pelvic lymph node metastases.
METHOD: Case presentation with literature review.
RESULT: On the basis of our review of Japanese literature, the risk factors for BCC metastasis are occurrence on the genitalia, diameter of more than 3 cm, deep invasion of tumor cells into extradermal structures, and infiltrative/morpheic histological type.

This report describes an unusual EBV-negative lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma of the vulva in a 73-year-old patient. The lesion was localised at the right minor labium and was resected by partial vulvectomy. A synchronous sentinel lymph node biopsy revealed a single micrometastasis in the right inguinal region, which prompted local radiotherapy. A 59-year-old man realized a left lower abdominal pain and palpable mass about a month ago. He was admitted to our hospital because of the pain and high fever. Blood examinations revealed high levels of white blood cell count and CRP. Ultrasonography showed a wall thickness of the descending colon and 7 cm cystic mass with air around. Poland's syndrome is a rare congenital development malformation characterized by unilateral chest wall hypoplasia and ipsilateral hand abnormalities. It is also known to be associated with some malignant diseases. We herein report a case of Poland's syndrome associated with invasive ductal carcinoma of breast, and review the literatures to investigate the clinical characteristics of breast cancer with Poland's syndrome.
