Results of treatment and long and short-term follow up of 13 patients (8 girls, 5 boys), aged 14-20 years (x:16.5) with prolactinomas, were assessed. Most frequent initial symptoms were: cephalea, puberty arrest or delay, galactorrhea and visual impairment. The pineal has been previously shown to be an important factor in the regulation of testicular function in photoperiodic mammals. The effects of lack or increase in pineal hormones on testicular hormonal receptors has, therefore, been examined.
