Three infants younger than 2 years presented with episodic bloody-to-tarry stool of moderate amount. Two of them were diagnosed to have Meckel's diverticulum because of a positive 99mTc pertechnetate scan. Although the third infant had two negative radionuclide scans within 3 months, Meckel's diverticulum was still suspected by exclusion studies. All three infants underwent laparoscopic surgery. A 51-year-old woman was admitted with suspected acute cholecystitis. A large hepatic cyst was found incidentally by abdominal sonography, which displaced an "abnormal" gallbladder. Hepatobiliary scintigraphy visualized the gallbladder and excluded acute cholecystitis, but required the anatomic information from sonography to verify the abnormal location of the gallbladder. Insufficiency bone fracture of the medial tibial plateau occurs in elderly patient. Pain and disability are important. Physical examination and initial X-Ray are note contributive. Insufficiency fracture appeared on bone scan as localised hyperfixation and as a slow intensity image of the medial tibial plateau on MR Imaging. Outcome is favorable with discharge.

Mycetoma is a rare deep mycosis caused by certain fungi. Clinical findings include enlargement and tumefaction of the affected region accompanied by grains coming out of the lesions. The feet are the most frequently affected area. Four patients have been studied who presented with mycetoma of the feet. Gallium scintigraphy was always abnormal in the affected areas and bone scintigraphy was abnormal in three of the four patients. Clinical usefulness of 67Ga-citrate scintigraphy for the diagnosis of colorectal carcinoma was reappraised at the standpoint of clinicopathological diagnosis. Fifty-eight patients with colonic carcinoma were subjected to this study. They underwent 67Ga scintigraphy before surgery. Colorectal carcinomas were detected in 38 patients, 65.5% by this procedure. We assessed the usefulness of dipyridamole-thallium myocardial imaging in patients unable to exercise adequately, compared with arm-ergometer and standard (bicycle) ergometer. Fifty-six patients with arteriosclerosis obliterans, aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection and so on, who were revealed normal imaging, were studied. The value of lacrimal scintigraphy in the assessment of nasolacrimal duct obstruction was determined by comparing the results with syringing in 67 patients (83 eyes). As expected, of 28 lacrimal drainage systems which were obstructed on syringing, 23 (82%) had abnormalities of tear drainage on scintigraphy. To evaluate alveolar epithelial damage in PSS, we studied pulmonary epithelial permeability by measuring the clearance of inhaled 99mTc-DTPA aerosol and performing thin slice CT scan, pulmonary function tests and right heart catheterization in 28 patients with PSS. Between 1982 and 1990, 81 children with localized or diffuse musculoskeletal pain, for which no cause could be found were seen in a pediatric rheumatology clinic.
