During a routine ovariohysterectomy on a 5-month-old ragdoll cat, right-sided segmental uterine aplasia and ipsilateral renal agenesis were discovered. The diagnosis was confirmed with histopathology. This condition is congenital and is a result of a failure of embryonic development of the paramesonephric ducts. Uterine aplasia and renal agenesis is a rare finding in cats but the prevalence in the ragdoll breed appears to be higher than in the general cat population.

The incidence of cryptorchidism in ram lambs of the North Ronaldsay breed was recorded between 1998 and 2005. The overall incidence of cryptorchidism was 7.4 per cent (ranging from 2.4 per cent to 18.2 per cent in different years). In 87.3 per cent of the cases only one testis was retained, with the right testis being affected in 78.5 per cent of all the cryptorchids.

An 8-year-old Labrador Retriever with an 11-month history of progressive partial seizures and necropsy examination findings characteristic of the lamellar form of canine neuronal ceroid-lipofuscinosis (NCL) is presented. The clinical, light microscopic, and ultrastructural features of this case most closely resemble human adult-onset NCL (Kufs disease). This is the first report of NCL occurring in the Labrador Retriever breed.
